For enhanced visibility, a Multi-Fit Light can be added. The inner shell of every Alpina helmet is made from Hi-EPS ("High Expanded Polystyrene"). It consists of microscopically small air chambers that optimally absorb the forces exerted during an impact. Hi-EPS provides extra-thin wall thicknesses and narrow helmet shapes while still offering optimal protection. Tried and tested hundreds of thousands of times and used in all Alpina bicycle helmets: the well-known strap buckle with a red push button and multi-stage locking mechanism. Ergomatic can be operated with one hand - you can loosen the strap when going uphill and tighten it when going downhill - and it cannot open by itself in the event of a fall. This is the designation for the outer shell of all Inmold-manufactured Alpina helmets. This thin and lightweight material is extremely break- and scratch-resistant, UV-stable, and antistatic.
