Product details

The Pluto 114/500 EQ is a complete system consisting of telescope, mount, tripod and extensive accessories. Due to the 114 mm large aperture with a focal length of only 500 mm, the Newton type reflector telescope is very fast. Standard eyepieces can be used on the eyepiece extension every 31.7 mm (1.25). With the equatorial (also called parallactic) EQ mount an axis is aligned to the polar star. When tracking a celestial object, only a single axis has to be moved, which makes tracking much easier compared to mounts that only have left/right and top/bottom axes (azimuthal mount). With the illuminated spot finder mounted on the telescope, celestial objects can be easily found and precisely adjusted in the eyepiece by means of two flexible waves connected to the mechanical fine drive. Especially beginners will find it much easier to find their way around the starry sky with the advanced illuminated spot finder than with a conventional viewfinder telescope. The sturdy aluminium tripod is infinitely height-adjustable and thus guarantees a comfortable observer position. With the smartphone holder, unique images of planets and celestial bodies can be made.
