The precise and extremely smooth operation of the derailleur is achieved through the new cables and their housing, as well as the design and construction of the 2x12-speed derailleur. The new Chorus derailleur features the same design that separates the upper from the lower semi-pulley, preventing slack and allowing for a more direct and responsive shifting process when upshifting. The design of the 2x12-speed derailleur and its range of motion enable the use of tires up to 32 mm wide, while the new fork design and specific positions for each gear provide extremely precise and fluid derailleur performance.
