Product details

The increasing demands and rising speeds in modern downhill sports have provided the impetus for a new project. The aim was to develop a tyre that offers excellent braking, lateral and cornering traction on deep and loose ground, while at the same time withstanding the extreme cornering forces on hard surfaces. After more than a year of development, Maxxis has now achieved the breakthrough: the High Roller III is here. With its hybrid lug design, it is positioned between the Assegai and Shorty models. Its wide range of use extends from soft to hard ground, whereby it can be steered precisely and holds the line exactly. The open centre lugs penetrate deep into wet or soft ground and offer reliable grip and effective braking power. At the same time, the large side lugs withstand even the greatest loads in extreme lean angles. Thanks to the 3C MaxxGrip compound, the High Roller III impresses with outstanding cornering control, even on hard surfaces.

Carcass: 2x120 TPI
Puncture protection: DD
This construction offers the robustness of downhill tyres thanks to two 120 TPI carcass plies and a butyl insert in the sidewall, with a lower mass at the same time. Ideal for demanding enduro trails.

As an all-rounder for deep soils, Maxxis sends the legendary High Roller in its third generation. The heavy tyre scored very well in the laboratory. Extreme wetness and mud push it to its limits, but in loose bends and on gravel it is top. A great all-rounder!

This test report belongs to a different type: High Roller III (29 x 2.40, 61-622)
