Product details

A true racing tire for real racers. Large volume, fast, with plenty of grip - the Ikon delivers exemplary performance across a variety of terrain, from hard to loose surfaces. On rocks and roots, even in wet conditions, the 3C and eXCeption versions particularly shine. For very rough, rocky terrain, the Ikon 3C is also available in the EXO-Protection version, which effectively protects the sidewalls with minimal added weight. New for 2014 are the Enduro sizes in 2.35 width and a wide selection of TR (Tubeless Ready) versions. If you want to experience how easy and secure tubeless installation with sealant can be, try the Ikon TR.

Rank 2 out of 16MountainBIKE16 Race-Reifen im TestReleaseAugust 2025

As an all-rounder, the Ikon has been a favourite for years, with solid and predictable grip in wet and dry conditions. In terms of rolling resistance, the heavy tyre still shows good values, the puncture protection is excellent, in the puncture test it is average.

This test report belongs to a different type: Ikon WT TR (29 x 2.40)
