Product details
With its completely new profile design, the Minion DHR II is the ideal tire for aggressive gravity riding. Featuring side knobs from the legendary DHF that have been slightly widened for improved cornering grip, it offers exceptional cornering stability. The center knobs have beveled edges for better acceleration. Notches on the knobs enhance the transition when leaning into turns. Some of the center knobs have a paddle shape, which digs in during hard braking and helps keep the bike under control.
The new EXO+ construction combines two excellent puncture protection materials: SilkShield and EXO. The SilkShield layer surrounds the entire tire from bead to bead, while the EXO layer is mounted on the sidewalls. Tires with EXO+ protection are designed for aggressive trail riding and enduro racing, and are particularly suited for the higher torque and weight of e-MTBs. The freeride variant of the 3C tires offers significantly more grip and traction due to softer compounds, while maintaining acceptable rolling resistance, allowing for good climbing before the thrilling descent, with a long lifespan.
Tubeless tires have many advantages: You can ride with lower air pressure, which provides better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no tube, the risk of punctures is also lower. MAXXIS TR tires are better prepared for mounting with sealant than other tubeless-ready tires. The bead of the TR tires is completely covered with a rubber layer, just like a true UST tubeless tire. This ensures successful tubeless mounting on all standard-sized rims right from the first inflation with minimal liquid.
