The Maxxis Rekon is a very voluminous tire that you can use for daily rides. It is excellent for forest trails and all-mountain shredding, but it can also handle rougher terrain. The TR version with EXO sidewall protection is designed for tubeless riding with sealant, but like all TR tires, it can also be used with a tube.

EXO Protection: This extremely cut- and abrasion-resistant material protects the sidewall of various MTB tires. It is tightly woven, lightweight, and flexible, ensuring that the tire's performance remains impressively unchanged.

Tubeless Ready: Tubeless tires offer many advantages: you can ride with lower air pressure, which leads to better traction and reduced rolling resistance. Since there is no tube, the risk of flats is also reduced. MAXXIS TR tires are better prepared for mounting with sealant than other "Tubeless Ready" tires. The bead of our TR tires is completely covered with a rubber layer, just like a true UST tubeless tire. This allows for easy tubeless mounting on all standard-sized rims with just a single inflation and minimal liquid.
