This brings several advantages, as you can quickly adjust them on the go, your midfoot has a bit more room, and the closure is not as rigid as with conventional Velcro straps. Additionally, the climbing shoes earn a sustainability bonus with their closure, which is made from strong and abrasion-resistant fibers from Technora Aramid, leftover from the production of paragliders and now repurposed in the Fusion II. Under the closure, there is also a 3 mm thick neoprene tongue that provides more comfort and ensures even force distribution.
