The 10- and 11-speed derailleurs of the new 7000 series have made a significant leap in shifting performance. Both shift with noticeably more power while also featuring efficient cable routing and low operating forces. In addition to the Side Swing technology, which provides even more performance through more direct cable routing, classic Top Swing or Down Swing derailleurs are still available. They all share compatibility with shorter chainstays and larger wheels and tires, making them ideally suited to the demands of modern mountain bikes.
