Thanks to Servo Wave technology, the brake features a quick response and a very well modulated pressure point. Bleeding is a breeze with the one-way bleeding system, although it is usually only necessary when shortening the brake line. The new arrangement of the clamp frees up some space on the handlebars, for example for remote levers. Additionally, stiffness has been significantly increased. The ergonomically shaped levers can be easily operated with one or two fingers and can be adjusted within reach without tools. Shimano shifters with I-Spec EV mounts can be attached to the brake levers to secure the additional clamp lever. The Deore XT brake caliper is the solution for all braking problems. The 4-piston version provides strong stopping power but can be precisely modulated in combination with the BL-M8100 brake lever. The design is optimized for quick heat dissipation, which can be further enhanced by using ICE-Tech brake pads with cooling fins. This makes longer rides in the mountains no problem.
