The larger 14-tooth lower pulley of the derailleur provides the necessary capacity for Eagle cassettes (10-50 or 11-50 teeth) and contributes to the smooth operation of the NX Eagle. The Type-3 Roller Bearing Clutch vibration damping system ensures consistent, quiet, and reliable shifting performance.

The parallelogram design of the X-Horizon derailleur limits movement along the horizontal axis, eliminating ghost shifting and reducing shifting effort. The large offset of the upper shift pulley ensures a constant chain gap in every gear for faster and more precise shifting.

The X-Actuation technology, specifically designed for SRAM 1x, provides precise and consistent shifting across the entire cassette. X-Sync 2 Eagle is the latest development of SRAM's X-Sync technology. The tooth profile of the chainring increases chain tension and pedaling efficiency. The X-Sync Eagle technology reduces friction and dirt, extending the lifespan of the chainring.

Roller Bearing Clutch derailleurs offer maximum drivetrain stability, even on demanding and challenging terrain. The Roller Bearing Clutch technology eliminates derailleur wobble and chain slap without sacrificing precision. The Cage Lock technology in the derailleur makes removing, installing, and mounting the rear wheel faster and easier than ever before. Simply push the cage forward to release and lock the chain tension.
