It is suitable for sowings and seedlings as well as for freshly sprouting perennials. Thus, it accompanies the plants through those developmental stages when they are most vulnerable to snails. It is non-toxic, without problematic active or attractant substances.

The Snail Stop is an insurmountable barrier for snails – even for large garden snails. It is simply placed around the plant and turned into the ground up to the rim.

It is important that snails cannot use "bridges" such as bent stems or blades of grass to get into the Snail Stop.

Targeted watering of the plants directly into the ring has an additional effect against snails, as it keeps the area outside the ring dry, making it more difficult for snails to crawl on the soil surface.
