The Simplex soft metal striking insert (Series 3209) is a hard insert. This silver-colored insert is also heat-resistant. It allows for hard strikes without damaging the workpiece and replaces a traditional lead hammer. This insert is available in sizes from D30 mm to D80 mm. Soft metal striking inserts must not be mounted in aluminum housings.
