The Fischer insulation dowel FID-R is a dowel designed to attach rainwater pipes without thermal bridges in thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS) with a minimum insulation thickness of 100 mm. The threaded spiral cuts into the insulation board during installation with a cordless screwdriver, creating a form-fit connection. The zinc lamella coating of the stock screw provides corrosion protection. The included white cover rosette protects against moisture.

The hard centering tip drills itself through the ETICS plaster. The pre-drilling step is eliminated.
