Li-Ion batteries have no memory effect and consist of cells with 3.6 V each. After a full charge, they have a higher voltage than 3.6 V; for example, 5 cells of 3.6 V each = 18 V, but after a full charge, a peak voltage of up to 20 V is possible. For longer battery life, please store only charged to 50 to 80%. They have twice the energy density of nickel-cadmium batteries and a nominal voltage that is three times higher than that of a nickel-metal hydride battery. They require several full charge cycles to reach full capacity.
