These mowers use the cut grass as mulch on the lawn since they do not have a collection device for the clippings. The mixture copes excellently with the grass clippings left on the lawn and utilizes them as fertilizer through biological decomposition. This reduces the annual fertilizer requirement, saving costs and maintenance effort. Strongly nitrogen-based fertilizers should not be used. This lawn is also very durable and features a lush green leaf. With favorable weather conditions, the grass seeds will germinate within 10–14 days.
