KNIPEX StepCut XL features a power joint, long arms, and optimized cutting edges that make cutting up to 60% easier than with compact cable cutters. It has an enormous capacity and can cut massive copper or aluminum cables up to 35 mm², stranded cables up to 70 mm², and flexible cables up to 120 mm². The tool includes two cutting areas: the stepped main cutting edge holds smaller and larger cables close to the joint during cutting, while the front cutting edge is designed for step-by-step cutting of very large cables. Thanks to the minimized leg width, it allows for comfortable one-handed and two-handed operation, even with large cable diameters. The bolted power joint ensures high transmission, smooth operation, and adjustability. The slim head enhances accessibility, and it is equipped with a clamping protection device for user safety. Please note that it is not suitable for steel-reinforced cables, such as ACSR. The cutting edges are additionally laser-hardened, with a cutting edge hardness of approximately 56 HRC.
