The DCM300E clamp meter can measure currents from 0.01 mA to 300 A AC. This allows for quick and easy determination of leakage or stray currents from devices, machines, or electrical installations. The clamp meter has four measurement ranges: 30 mA, 300 mA, 30 A, and 300 A with a resolution of 0.01 mA. To freeze measurement values, the device features a Data Hold function, which is useful when the display cannot be read directly due to difficult access to the test objects. The Auto Power-Off function automatically turns off the DCM300E clamp meter after 10 minutes of inactivity. Additional insulation on the clamp jaws reduces the risk of short circuits when used on bare conductors. One application of this clamp meter is measuring the leakage current of operating equipment to locate faulty consumers or to determine the leakage current in circuits with multiple consumers. This helps prevent unintentional tripping of a residual current device (RCD) in circuits equipped with residual current protection.
