For forward exits, the top rung must be level with the exit surface. For fixed ladders with climbing protection, the free area in front of the ladder must be at least 800 x 800 mm. The distance between the fixed ladder system and the railing must not exceed 180 mm. It must be possible to connect and disconnect the climbing protection from a safe location. A safe location is, for example, a platform with railings and a secure access point. To ensure that side ladders can be safely reached, the distance to adjacent parts around the side ladders must be at least 75 mm (except for components belonging to the fixed ladder system). 063502 is required.
