The Opinel No 08 Outdoor offers a wide range of uses. The 2.5 mm thick blade is made of modified, stainless Sandvik 12C27 steel. The 3.5 cm wide partial serration makes it easy to cut through natural and synthetic ropes. Sailors will be delighted with the shackle opener integrated into the blade. The Virobloc system locks the blade securely in the open and closed position. The green handle in the typical Opinel design is made from a polyamide/fibreglass material that sits comfortably and firmly in the hand, even with wet hands. A signalling whistle integrated into the handle and a plastic cord round off the extensive features.
