Euphorbias are masters of survival. They can store a lot of water, allowing them to go for extended periods without it. When temperatures drop in winter, the Cowboy Cactus can easily survive for 3 months without water. When temperatures are low, it's best to keep the soil dry. If the plant is in a sunny location and/or above a heat source, it is recommended to water it once a month.
