No SD card can be inserted in the home station (HomeBase) of the Video Doorbell (ZigBee) from eufy. The video recordings are saved locally on the HomeBase, which has an integrated memory of 16 GB. There is no provision for expanding the memory with an SD card. Storage of the data on an FTP server is not supported by eufy for this model. The videos are not transferred to a cloud, but stored locally in the home base. When the memory is full, it is simply overwritten. This is sufficient for me, I don't have to keep track of who rang my doorbell a year ago. It's not a security camera but is actually only used to recognise who is at the door and has rung the bell. There is also no facial recognition, which is a shame, but it was not something I specifically wanted.
