The Altivar Machine ATV320 product line is a range of variable speed drives designed for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). Its compact form factor allows for vertical stacking of drives in machine frames. It operates with a rated power of up to 5.5 kW / 7.5 HP and a rated voltage of 200 V to 240 V AC. Its robust construction, featuring coated circuit boards classified as 3C3 according to IEC 60721-3-3, extends machine availability under harsh environmental conditions, such as ambient temperatures of up to 60 °C, without the need for additional cooling.

It includes features suitable for the most common applications, including torque and speed accuracy at very low speeds, high dynamic performance with sensorless flux vector control. It also allows for the parallel connection of motors and special drives using the voltage/frequency ratio, as well as static speed accuracy and energy savings for open-loop synchronous motors.

Weighing 3.5 kg, it has the following dimensions: 150 mm wide, 232 mm high, and 178 mm deep. These help machines meet safety requirements, whether used in conjunction with a Preventa safety module or not. These safety functions are configured using the SoMove software.
