The Simpson Sst rod dowel is a high-quality construction fastener specifically designed for the installation of beam supports and column shoes. With its chamfered ends, it allows for an easy and precise connection between steel and wooden elements. The use of steel grade S355 J2/JRC+C (material number 1.0579) ensures a high tensile strength of 510 N/mm² and a fracture elongation of 22, supporting the stability and durability of the construction. The chamfer of the rod dowel is twice the size specified in the DIN 1052:2008-12 standard table G.10, making it easier to drive into wood and enhancing the efficiency of the installation. With a length of 78 mm and a width of 8 mm, this rod dowel is ideal for various applications in construction.
