The universal screw is the ultimate all-rounder in SPAX's range. It can handle almost anything – for example, it can be driven into softwoods like spruce and pine, as well as common wood-based panels (MDF, particle board, and OSB) without pre-drilling. Our universal screw particularly excels in interior construction and furniture building, but it is also suitable for outdoor use with the appropriate corrosion protection. Thanks to its special thread geometry, the driving resistance when screwing is significantly lower than that of conventional screws, which not only saves your energy and nerves but also extends the battery life of the screwdriver used. Splitting of the wood near the edges is reliably prevented. This means for you: you can drive more screws per battery charge, and you no longer have to worry about split wood ends.
