The universal screw is the ultimate all-rounder in the SPAX range. It can handle almost anything – for example, it can be screwed into softwoods like spruce and pine, as well as into common wood-based panels (MDF, particle board, and OSB) without any pre-drilling. Our universal screw demonstrates its superiority particularly in interior construction and furniture building, but it can also be effectively used outdoors with the appropriate corrosion protection. Thanks to its special thread geometry, the driving resistance when screwing is significantly lower than with conventional screws, which not only saves your energy and nerves but also preserves the battery of the screwdriver being used. Splitting of the wood near the edges is reliably prevented. This means for you: you can drive more screws per battery charge, and you no longer have to worry about splintered wood ends.
