The SPAX typical drive T-STAR plus is a so-called internal hexagon. This shape increases the contact area of our T-STAR plus, ensuring that the T-STAR plus bits fit perfectly into the screw head. The optimal power transfer from the screwdriver to the screw provided by T-STAR plus allows for quick work and is significantly more efficient than all other drives. The screws with partial threads are excellent for fastening thin components such as wood-based panels, boards, or floorboards to thicker components like beams or posts. The short thread screws into the thick component, while the unthreaded shaft remains in the attachment. This creates maximum clamping pressure between the two. The unthreaded part should be at least as thick as the attachment. The term 4CUT refers to the square shaping of the screw tip. These edges displace the wood fibers during insertion and create space for the screw's core diameter. This reduces the spreading pressure exerted by the core on the wood and prevents splitting near the edges. Additionally, the required torque of the cordless screwdriver is reduced, as the screw's core does not have to "squeeze" into the wood.
