Tire Inspection: Before changing tires, it is essential to check for any damage or cracks on the tires. The tread depth should also be inspected. The law mandates a minimum tread depth of 1.6 mm across the entire circumference. However, a depth of 3 mm to 4 mm is recommended. Proper grip is especially important in winter conditions.

Direction of Rotation Check: There are directional tires, which have a marking on the sidewall indicating the tire's rolling direction. These must be mounted accordingly. Additionally, it should be noted that tires on the drive axle wear out more quickly. Therefore, it is recommended to mount the better tires on the drive axle, as uneven tread depths can compromise driving stability.
