The SM6 thread cutting chuck from Tapmatic is a highly advanced accessory for machines, specifically designed for the precise machining of threads. With a cylindrical shank of 25 mm and the capability to cut threads with a pitch ranging from M5.0 to M18, this chuck offers excellent performance in mass production. It is particularly suitable for use on CNC machining centers as well as on other machines that support reverse rotation. The thread cutting chuck allows for length compensation in both tension and compression, effectively balancing the difference between the machine feed and the thread pitch. The integrated cutting pressure spring ensures consistent machining and extends the lifespan of the used taps, which can operate at high cutting speeds. Please note that collets must be ordered separately.
