Urban Hochbeet is a brand that specializes in promoting urban gardening. It was founded by then-students Chris and Leon, who shared their passion for gardening in the city. Through their own experiences growing plants on a balcony in Freiburg im Breisgau, they developed the idea of making gardening more accessible for other city dwellers.

The young brand was further developed in 2024 by the family business VCM. Since the 1970s, VCM has specialized in the design, production, and distribution of furniture with a fair price-performance ratio, beautifying millions of households.
