The hand tap HexTap DS M16 HSSG ISO2 (6H) from Völkel is a versatile tool designed for machining metric ISO threads according to DIN 13. This double-sided tap combines both roughing and finishing cutters in a single tool, making it particularly efficient for creating new threads as well as for re-cutting and repairing damaged threads. With a thread length of 22 mm and an overall length of 70 mm, it is ideal for applications in hard-to-reach areas. The hand tap is made from high-quality HSS-G, ensuring excellent machinability and durability. It is suitable for easily machinable materials with a strength of up to 900 N/mm², including unalloyed and low-alloy steels. The guiding pin allows for precise alignment, facilitating handling and increasing accuracy.
