A forestry chain or logging chain is essential for any tree felling. It is used to clear fallen tree trunks, uprooted bushes, or bulky roots from the path and to pull them to a collection point or for transport. This process is commonly referred to as wood hauling or wood transport. The chain is wrapped around the trunk, secured with a safety hook, and the ring at the other end is placed over a suitable coupling. The hook can also be attached to another suitable tool, which is then affixed to the trunk. And then the pulling and hauling can begin!

The XPOtool forestry and logging chain can be easily operated by one person. It has an overall length of 1.83 m, and the individual robust and durable round steel links have a generous cross-section of 10 mm. Its bright yellow color makes it visible to everyone, standing out well against its surroundings, such as the forest floor, and cannot be overlooked. Another safety feature is its anti-rebound property and the spring hook, which prevent it from snapping back. The ring is wide enough to fit over ball couplings up to 5.1 cm.

In addition to wood hauling, the logging chain can also be used to pull smaller trees directly out of the ground along with their roots. This saves you the hassle of digging out the roots with a pickaxe, shovel, and spade after felling a tree. When attached to a suitable vehicle, such as a tractor, ATV, or lawn tractor, the chain ensures that the attached plant follows you to the destination and can then be transported to the next location.
