Hammerhead sharks feed on sardines, herring, and mackerel. In the past, it was believed that these animals would stun their prey with their heads. Today, it is known that their unusual head shape serves to enhance their perception. The eyes are positioned on the sides of the head, similar to the hammerhead shark from Schleich Wild Life, allowing the predator to have a 360-degree view. With their snouts, they detect the electromagnetic signals of their prey. Most sharks are solitary, but hammerhead sharks are not; they live in groups of up to 100 individuals.
