The Tyrannosaurus Rex looked very menacing, but could hardly use its short forelimbs, which were equipped with only two claws, as they didn't even reach its mouth. With a height of almost seven meters and a length of nearly thirteen meters, the Tyrannosaurus Rex was probably not a particularly good hunter, but rather a scavenger that fed on what other animals left behind. It had more than fifty teeth, each over 15 centimeters long, which it used not for chewing but only for tearing, as it swallowed its food in large chunks. To improve depth perception when foraging, the eyes of the Tyrannosaurus Rex were directed forward, so that the fields of view of both eyes overlapped.
