Making its exciting debut in 1980 at the IFMA trade show in Cologne, Germany, and later released to the public in 1981, the Suzuki GSX1100S Katana features an aggressive form designed by Hans Muth, which is reproduced by this plastic model assembly kit. The mechanical details of the 4-cylinder DOHC engine, along with ignition cords, brake pipes, and instrument cables, are accurately represented using vinyl tubing. Additionally, metal screws are included to provide extra strength to parts such as the wheel axles. Solid synthetic rubber tires, front and rear, have tread patterns and are mounted onto accurately reproduced renderings of Suzuki's famed star-shaped die-cast wheels, giving the model a highly realistic presence.
