The stand model is a replica of the Suzuki GSX1100S Katana, which was showcased at the motorcycle fair in Cologne in 1980 and drew attention for its aggressive body style. Many spectators were excited about the design of the body but thought that this vehicle would not appear in this form and that the motorcycle in 1980 was a custom build. In 1981, the Honda was released and remained true to the body features. With some adjustments to the chassis and engine, the GSX1100 appeared just as it was displayed at the fair.
