E3 2018 Day 3: All the news and trailers from Ubisoft, Sony and co.

Story trailer for "Destiny 2: Forsaken"

A VR game from From Software

When the makers of "Dark Souls" present a VR game, attention is certain. As a ghost, you have to prove your existence at a school in "Déraciné" and strengthen your relationship with the students through interaction. Coming this year for PSVR.

"Resident Evil 2" remake

If you missed the zombie classic on PS1, you now have the chance to visit Raccon City after all. The game will be released on 25 January for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

Get creative in "Dreams"

The sandbox game from Media Molecule ("Little Big Planet") gives you the tools to create fantastic things. The trailer shows how it works. Release is scheduled for later this year.

Jack Sparrow meets "Kingdom Hearts"

Sora, Donald and Goofy visit the Caribbean, more specifically the "Pirates of the Caribbean". This trailer shows new fighting styles and underwater battles. "Kingdom Hearts 3" will be released on 29 January 2019 for PS4 and Xbox One.

"Marvel's Spider-Man" takes on super villains

Lots of new villains are out to get "Spider-Man". The demo shows a prison break that leads to Spidy having to take on "Electro", "Mr Negative", "Vulture" and "Rhino". In the trailer, he also gets to take on the latter. This PS4-exclusive game will be released on 7 September.

Remedy's new game is called "Control"

The studio behind "Max Payne" and "Quantum Break" has unveiled "Control". Similar to the last title, you have mysterious powers and can interact with your environment, throw things around and manipulate entire rooms. The action-packed slow-motion gameplay quickly reveals where the studio's roots lie. Release should be in 2019.

"Ghost of Tsushima" is the new game from the "Infamous" makers

Instead of superpowers and modern times, "Ghost of Tsushima" is set in Japan during a Mongol invasion in 1274. As a samurai, you sneak and fight against the invaders. The PS4-exclusive game is set to be released in 2019.

First gameplay of "Death Stranding"

After several absolutely weird trailers, Hideo Kojima's next work has finally been presented with real gameplay scenes. However, the content is difficult to explain even with that. In addition to Sam Bridges, who is played by actor Norman Reedus, another character was shown. The lady is played by Lea Sydoux and together they travel through a mysterious world and collect babies in yellow liquids. Release date still as unclear as what the game is actually supposed to be.

Sony shows 11 minutes of "The Last of Us 2"

In the second instalment of the post-apocalyptic zombie game, you take on the role of Ellie, who once again has to fight her way through numerous hair-raising situations - but the trailer begins with somewhat calmer moments. No release date was given for the PS4-exclusive game. According to rumours, it will be released later this year.

Ubisoft brings "Assassin's Creed" to Greece

After Egypt, the journey continues to historical Greece. At the beginning, you have to decide whether you want to play Alexios or Kassandra. As a warrior of Sparta, your decisions will influence the war between Sparta and Athens. There will also be new dialogue options. Ship battles will also be more important again. The game will be released on 5 October for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

"For Honor" with new faction and new mode

A new faction called Wu Lin is being added to the medieval fighting game. These Chinese warriors have their very own fighting styles. Breach Mode has also been announced. In this mode, players will have to defend or attack a huge castle in 4v4 matches. The update is free and will be released this autumn.

"Beyond Good and Evil 2"

With an epic CGI trailer, Ubisoft whetted our appetite for the still far too distant "Beyond Good and Evil". It also featured the former protagonist Jade. There was also gameplay from the pre-alpha on show.

"Skull and Bones"

"Skull and Bones" brings back strong memories of "Sea of Thieves". With your crew, you go on the hunt for fully loaded ships. When you meet other pirates, you never know whether they will be friendly or hostile. There are also fortresses to capture. You can use the loot you win to upgrade your ship.

Game "The Crew 2" in beta

Ubisoft's new racing game, in which you will be travelling on land, sea and air, is getting an open beta. You can register now and start the preload. The beta starts on 21 June. The game will be released for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on 29 June.

Show off your bike skills in "Trials Rising"

Lots of wacky levels with tricky physics puzzles and lots of funny crashes await you in "Trials Rising". Once again, you can compete alone or against friends to set new record times. The game will be released February 2019 for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Switch.

"The Division 2" gets raids

The second instalment of the action MMO moves the setting from New York to Washington, where more vegetation and new enemies await you. You still fight alone or preferably in a team of four against rows of villains who want to be peppered with bullets. New raids even require eight players to work together. Three new specialisations with three different weapons (sniper, grenade launcher, crossbow) have been added. Three free updates for the first year have also been announced.

"Mario + Rabbids" receives foppish support

Accompanied by live music, the expansion "Mario + Rabbids Donkey Kong Adventures" was presented. The star will no longer be Mario, but - as the name suggests - Donkey Kong. You will be able to try out his new special moves as early as 26 June.

Frodo makes a quirky VR game

Square Enix shows new insights into "Shadow of the Tomb Raider"

The most detailed preview yet of the new "Tomb Raider" was of course on show at the Square Enix press conference. There is a lot of sneaking and a lot of brutal assassination. Just like before. On 14 September, we'll be able to control the tough lady again - on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

"Final Fantasy XIV" meets "Monster Hunter: World"

There are big swords in both games and monsters too, so it's only natural to link the two games. What exactly the combination will look like is not yet clear. But we'll find out as early as this summer.

"Dragon Quest XI" is finally coming to us

While the Japanese have long since devoured the game, we won't be able to enjoy this JRPG until 4 September. Currently planned for PC and PS4.

"The Quiet Man"

"Babylon's Fall"

Platinum Games, the makers of "Nier: Automata" and "Bayonetta", are delivering the next game in 2019, which promises some serious brawling. Planned for PS4 and PC.

The JRPG "Octopath Traveler" is coming to the Switch

Anyone with a flair for classic JRPGs should take a look at "Octopath Traveler". Switch owners can get started as early as 13 July.

Creative destruction with "Just Cause 4"

"Kingdom Hearts 3"
