Galaxus Finds: small but essential everyday helpers
TikTok is full of viral Muji, Ikea and Amazon Finds. What about hidden gems from Galaxus? Well, there are plenty. Here are my favourites.
What do my personal product favourites from our range have in common? They look pretty and solve little everyday problems. No wonder I’ve kept them for years – unlike all those foldable storage boxes, which ended up on the Galaxus secondhand platform shortly after I bought them.
Credit-card-sized charger
It’s the size of a credit card and barely heavier than a bunch of keys. Aukey’s Spark Mini is the opposite of a bulky power bank. Offering a 20-watt USB-C output, it’s super portable and charges smartphones and cameras in no time. This Community review sums it up perfectly: «Well rounded and small.» On top of that, I like its light blue colour, as it reminds me of my first Tamagotchi. If you prefer, the power bank’s also available in black, white or grey.

Charging a laptop or tablet with it? Bad idea. This power bank’s designed to be an occasional helper. If you’re connecting more than two devices to it at the same time, it won’t last long.
Pretty power strip
I’ve become good at hiding multi sockets, as most of them aren’t worth showing off. Max Hauri’s Cube is different. The two-metre-long fabric-covered cable, the turquoise colour accent and the flat plug make it a rare example of hardware that looks pretty. A handy feature is that the plug rotates by 180 degrees so that bulky plugs don’t block close-by devices. It also offers USB-A and USB-C ports with fast-charging, a built-in magnet and non-slip feet to stay in place. And if you want to attach it under a tabletop, to a shelf or to a wall, you can do so using the included mount.

If you have a fully equipped desk, five sockets won’t be enough. And turquoise, admittedly, isn’t everyone’s favourite colour. That’s why Cube’s also available in all-white or in dark tones.
Keeping limescale under control
If you own a kettle and live in an area with hard water (hello, Zurich), you’ll know this problem: having to descale your kettle every week. The Kessy limescale trap, made of knitted stainless steel, collects limescale directly in the kettle. The result? Less limescale without needing any descaling agent. When Kessy’s full, all you need to do is empty the limescale out and cover the trap in vinegar for a short while. I agree with this Community review: «Limescale builds up more slowly in the kettle, so you don’t need to descale it as often.»

There’s just one catch. Kessy works well, but doesn’t perform miracles. In other words, some limescale will slip through its net and end up in the kettle after all. If you’re hoping for no limescale at all, you’ll be disappointed.
Soft-sided toiletry bag
I don’t like rigid toiletry bags. Why? Because it’s difficult to fit a bulky, square-shaped item into a full suitcase. This round travel bag designed by Intirilife fits snugly into any empty corner of your luggage and distributes its contents wherever there’s space. Besides, when you open it up, you see everything at one glace. No more rummaging around. Two zippered interior pockets keep small items neatly organised.

What I can say for sure is this toiletry bag can handle a few splashes, but it shouldn’t get completely soaked. Unless you want to wash it when it’s empty – that works perfectly.

Stylish tissue box
Typically featuring bright designs and big lettering, tissue boxes rarely turn heads. That’s why I usually hide them in the bottom drawer. However, that’s not practical, as I need them to be within easy reach and in every room. The Meraki tissue box cover solves this dilemma in an elegant way. All you need to do is put the tissue box into the cover, pull the top tissue out slightly and close the Velcro fastener. That’s it. Who’d have thought a tissue box would ever impress me?

There’s only one catch: this cover only works with specific tissue box dimensions. If you have larger or smaller ones at home, make sure they fit. And if terracotta isn’t your thing, olive green might be for you.
