New images show the transparent design and case of the Nothing Ear 1. These earphones by OnePlus founder Carl Pei are awaited with much excitement.

Good true wireless earphones with active noise cancelling and a double-digit price are not yet available. Carl Pei, the founder of the smartphone company OnePlus has set out to change this with the Nothing Ear (1). While we’ve known almost «Nothing» about these earphones until now, this has changed, as

the transparent design of the Nothing Ears has been revealed. The earbuds and their charging case are transparent. Only the battery is housed underneath in a white plastic case.

According to Carl Pei, producing a transparent case is more expensive than one in coloured plastic, but since the company wants to sell its products mainly online, they claim to be able to offer a low price nonetheless

Nothing is already auctioning the first 100 earphones on StockX. The earphones will be officially launched on 27 July 2021.

Testing devices and gadgets is my thing. Some experiments lead to interesting insights, others to demolished phones. I’m hooked on series and can’t imagine life without Netflix. In summer, you’ll find me soaking up the sun by the lake or at a music festival.
