We're coming on TV!

Germany's newest and most beautiful online shop is attracting a lot of interest. A video team from Pro7 was recently in Zurich to find out who and what is behind Galaxus.de.

The fact that Galaxus is venturing into Germany caused a stir at the end of last year. Since then, there have been repeated reports about Galaxus Deutschland. In February 2019, Pro7 approached us - they wanted to do an article about us for the magazine Galileo. Of course, we were immediately available.

On a cold and rainy day in March, a five-person team from Galileo knocked on our door in Zurich. Presenter Matthias Fiedler met up with CEO Florian Teuteberg for a jog. Despite a 30-minute wait in the rain at 3° and around 30 takes, our CEO is in excellent health. Back in the warmth, Matthias and Florian met for a big interview in the middle of the office. The shoot had to be interrupted several times, as the employees were not distracted by the cameras and cheerfully operated the rattling coffee machine.

Just before midday, I was called in front of the camera unprepared as editor-in-chief. Cameraman David pulled and pushed on my shoulders and hips so often that I briefly thought this was a programme for 1 April and they were just trying to find out how many times they could push me around until I threw in the towel. Then it was off to the basement, where my editorial colleagues Simon and Dominik were filmed reviewing in our studio. Dominik looked at a smartphone, Simon tested a pasta machine.

Matthias: "OK Dominik, I'll ask you if you're testing anything else today. You then refer to Simon."

Matthias: "Dominik, are you looking at anything else today?"

Dominik: "Yes, I'm still doing iPad Pro and Galaxy S10!"

Matthias: "Oh no! You should refer to Simon... Dominik are you still testing something today?"

Dominik: "Yes, I'm still doing iPad Pro and Galaxy S10!"

Gathered team: "No!!!"

Matthias: "You're referring to Simon, right? So: Dominik are you still watching something today?"

Dominik: "Yes, I'm still doing iPad Pro and Galaxy S10! And Simon's making another pasta machine."

Hopefully you won't see any of these mishaps. We had a lot of fun filming and are looking forward to the show. Matthias Fiedler really is as nice as he looks and was happy to record greetings to Galileo fans.
