NetBotz Surveillance is an additional software application for NetBotz Central that automatically creates a visual record of who enters critical areas and what happens there. This software serves as a central repository for images captured by NetBotz surveillance devices and offers options for accessing surveillance events logged by date and time, as well as for playing back film-like clips of these events.

NetBotz Surveillance also displays live thumbnails from NetBotz appliances. NetBotz Surveillance clips can be digitally signed, which is the digital equivalent of a watermarked document. These digital signatures make it difficult to conceal image manipulations and provide a high level of confidence in the integrity of the surveillance clips, increasing their legal admissibility in the event of a court case. Signed clips can be exported as signed AVI files for playback on a standard media player. Standard media players ignore the proprietary signature blocks, so the viewer sees no difference between a signed and an unsigned clip.

NetBotz Surveillance allows users to tag clips for later retrieval and review. The tags can include keywords and a text description, as well as a priority level. Users can then use a flexible search interface to quickly find clips by camera, date, category, importance level, or text. The user can search by an absolute date range or by a relative range. Queries expected to be used frequently can be defined as saved filters and executed at any time.
