The celexon CAT 6A patch cable - S/FTP transmits network signals at speeds of up to 10 gigabits per second with an operating frequency of up to 500 MHz. This allows not only for use in the traditional TCP/IP area but also for the implementation of IP streaming and HDBaseT infrastructures.

The S/FTP (Screened Foiled Twisted Pair) specification describes the shielding structure of these patch cables. The twisted pairs are individually shielded with foil. Additionally, all four twisted pairs are further shielded with a wire mesh, complying with the ISO/IEC 11801 Ed 2.2 standard. This ensures that the cables are well protected against disruptive external electromagnetic fields.

The LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) cable sheath of the celexon CAT 6A patch cable is made from thermoplastic or thermosetting materials and is free from halogens. Unlike PVC cables, LSZH cables produce minimal toxic smoke gases in the event of a fire, making them particularly suitable for indoor use. In public areas where network infrastructures need to be installed near high foot traffic locations or laid out openly, the use of LSZH cables is mandated by the EU. The toxic fumes from burning PVC pose a risk to human health.
