Product details
The Cisco Catalyst 3560-C and 2960-C Series Switches are compact switches designed to deliver unified communications, wireless, IP video, and other applications to retail, hospitality, education, and enterprise customers. These new compact switches are specifically designed to be placed outside the wiring closet and contain a number of innovative features that provide flexibility in switch placement and end device support with Power over Ethernet (PoE) pass-through, as well as advanced security services and ease-of-management features.
Primary features and benefits:
Flexible placement options with PoE pass-through: PoE pass-through allows users to power PoE end devices, as well as the switch itself, by drawing Cisco Universal Power Over Ethernet (Cisco UPOE)/PoE+ power from a wiring closet switch. This capability is ideal for wiring-constrained and space-constrained applications.
Ease of management with Cisco Smart Install and Configuration: Cisco Smart Install and Configuration is a transparent automated technology that configures the Cisco IOS Software image and switch configuration without user intervention. It provides a single point of management for a group of switches.
Intelligent power management capabilities with Cisco EnergyWise: Cisco Catalyst 3560-C and 2960-C switches use hardware components created by Cisco, providing optimum power-saving, low-power operations for industry best-in-class power management and power consumption capabilities.
Enhanced security features with Cisco TrustSec technology: Cisco TrustSec technology secures access to the network and resources, whether wired, wireless, or VPN, ensuring that endpoint devices are authorized and healthy. The Cisco Catalyst 3560-C compact switches also support MACsec.
