The compact fusion splicer from Digitus can be operated either on battery or with a power supply and is suitable for the installation and maintenance of a variety of fiber optic cables. The device operates with precision motors and high-speed image processing, enabling fast and automated splicing processes of high quality. The 3.5-inch LCD screen provides a clear view of every work step of the splicing device. Both the X and Y axes can be displayed individually or together. It supports multimode fibers (MMF/G.651), singlemode fibers (SMF/G.652), dispersion-shifted fibers (DSF/G.653), non-zero dispersion-shifted fibers (NZDSF/G.655), as well as bend-insensitive fibers (such as BIF/G.657). An integrated cleaver (fiber optic cutter) is included in the device. The splicer is used in construction, for maintenance work, and for the repair of backbone cables.
