Die Knickschutztülle mit Rasthebelschutz verhindert das Verhaken der Kabel und schützt zugleich den Rasthebel vor dem Abbrechen. Die Stecker lassen sich je nach Kategorie farblich unterscheiden: ein blauer Stecker für CAT5e, ein roter Stecker für CAT6 und ein gelber Stecker für CAT6A.
