Product details
The mechanical gaming keyboard Ducky One 3 is designed to provide you with an exceptional typing experience. Crafted with high-quality materials and optimized for quick response times, the Ducky One 3 offers gamers and keyboard enthusiasts a luxurious feel while typing. Additionally, the switches are not soldered but mounted on sockets, making them easy to replace without soldering.
The variant offered here is in the 80% TKL form factor. By omitting the number pad, it takes up less space on your desk, but it is also less suitable for office applications.
With this keyboard, the manufacturer introduces its design philosophy QUACK Mechanics. Ducky considers four essential aspects that are crucial for the typing experience: the keycaps, the housing, the sound, and the stabilizers.
Therefore, all variants of the Ducky One 3 feature high-quality keycaps made from PBT. This semi-crystalline plastic is particularly popular among keyboard modders because it is resistant to wear. Ducky molds the keycaps from two layers of plastic, ensuring that the key labels are always clearly readable. The keycaps do not develop the typical shine that other plastics acquire through intensive use.
A common criticism of mechanical keyboards is their bulkiness. The housing of the Ducky One 3 is flatter than that of its predecessors, relieving wrist strain in conjunction with the three-stage feet.
To enhance the sound and typing feel, Ducky has tested a total of 17 different rubber composites and selected the appropriate variant for the Q-Bounce pad. This is combined with an additional layer of EVA foam to effectively dampen resonances during typing and hard keystrokes.
