The Huawei HG8010 GPON from the EchoLife series is a rugged optical network terminal designed to connect to FTTH networks as a basic multi-functional home or office gateway. The HG8010 is equipped with an adaptive Gigabit/Fast Ethernet port with auto-negotiation to ensure uninterrupted simultaneous Internet access, seamless VoIP services and HD video streaming.

Plug-and-play technology
Support for plug-and-play technology significantly speeds up the installation of new devices and guarantees the stability of the fibre optic modem. Connection to the Internet, IPTV and VoIP requires no initial configuration or specialised knowledge on the part of the user. All supplier services can be accessed with a single click in the network management system (NMS).

Modern technology
The implementation of the latest energy-saving technologies and "green" assembly offers 25% energy savings: the SOCs are integrated directly into the voice and PON transmission modules. The implementation of the 802.1ag Ethernet OAM protocol enables real-time monitoring of E2E (exchange-to-exchange) channels.
