The Intellinet Gigabit PoE+ Media Converter integrates fiber optic cables into an existing copper cable network for a cost-effective and low-effort LAN upgrade, while delivering up to 30 watts of power. It operates transparently – the performance and functionality remain unchanged, and the network is simply expanded to support both media – copper and fiber.
Extended Range
With fiber optic support, even distant workgroups can be integrated into your network. Building-to-building connections are easily achievable without additional access points.
Power-over-Ethernet-Plus Capable
The Intellinet Gigabit PoE+ Media Converter delivers power even where there are no outlets available, eliminating the need for complex electrical installations and high costs for an electrician. Thanks to support for the IEEE802.3af / IEEE802.3at protocol, it provides up to 30 watts of power to compatible devices.
Flexibility in Cabling
Due to its compact design, this converter can be used in desktop applications with limited space as well as in wall-mounted enclosures. Multiple converters can also be installed in an Intellinet 19" media converter chassis.
