The LevelOne VDS-1201 converts data from Ethernet to VDSL, allowing large amounts of data to be transmitted over longer distances. This technology uses standard twisted-pair telephone cables instead of expensive Cat.5 cables.

Why convert Ethernet to VDSL? When using VDSL2 (Very High Speed Digital Subscriber Line) technology, users can transfer data at high speeds up to 250 meters without the need to install additional Ethernet switches or cables. With up to 100 Mbps downstream and 100 Mbps upstream, VDSL2 technology provides sufficient capacity for bandwidth-intensive applications.

The LevelOne VDS-1201 works optimally where traditional copper telephone lines are already installed: in apartments, homes, hotels, university campuses, etc. No expensive Ethernet cables are required, and VDSL technology can be easily integrated into an existing network. Custom settings: Each VDS-1201 can operate with custom settings. Using the built-in DIP switches, users can adjust the device to the desired network properties.

Annex A: Additionally provides the option to transmit analog telephone signals in-band with the VDSL2 signal over the two-wire line.
