Fiber Optic Cable (LWL) While a conventional signal in a copper cable is susceptible to electrical interference, optical cables operate flawlessly even under the most challenging conditions. Additionally, fiber optic cables do not affect electronics. Due to the low attenuation of optical cables, distances of up to 550 meters can be covered. The LC connector is a high-performance fiber optic connector for singlemode and multimode applications, featuring an insertion loss of only 0.1 dB and a return loss of 55 dB. The design of the LC connector is based on a single-fiber ceramic ferrule with a diameter of 1.25 mm for a fiber optic cable.
